Energy Source

  • Biofuel heating oil is a blend made with No. 2 oil and biodiesel.

Biodiesel is made with vegetable oil such as soybean and palm oil with 80% regular heating oil. Biodiesel burns cleaner than regular diesel and is considered a renewable source of energy. Biodiesel also reduces the United States’ dependence on foreign oil because biofuel is made with corn or soybeans grown in the U.S.A.

Biofuel is delivered by tanker truck and that is where Robison comes in. We supply automatic biofuel oil delivery throughout the winter so you can stay warm.

  • Natural gas is a widely used and efficient heating source. It is a clean-burning fossil fuel, producing less emissions than conventional sources, making it an environmentally friendly choice. In residential setups, natural gas is delivered through underground pipelines directly into homes. Homeowners can use natural gas for cooking, water heating, and generators.

  • A geothermal system replaces your home’s existing air conditioning and heating equipment with a powerful heat pump and safe, underground pipes that move heat between the earth and your home.

In the winter, the ground loops move heat stored in the ground into your home. In the summer, the ground loops return heat from your home to the ground.

Heating System

  • Furnaces use warm or ‘forced air’ blown through ducts and vents to heat your home. Inside your oil or gas powered furnace, fuel is mixed with air to ignite in the combustion chamber that then heats up the heat exchanger. The heat exchanger then transfers this heat to the air to be circulated through the air handler and distributed throughout your home.

  • Boilers heat water to transform it into steam that circulates through radiators or radiant piping in your home. Steam then travels in a closed loop, eventually condensing back into water, which is then reheated to continue the cycle. This process distributes heat throughout your living space.

  • Heat pumps both heat and cool your home. In the summer, a heat pump functions like an air conditioner by taking heat from inside the house and drawing it outside leaving the inside cool. In the winter, the process reverses and hot air is pushed inside to heat your home. The air is circulated into the room or through ducts, depending on the system.

Cooling System

  • Ductless air conditioning systems, or ductless mini-splits, operate similarly to central AC, but with several differences. Instead of a single indoor unit distributing air through ducts, ductless systems feature individual indoor units for each living space, directly blowing cooled air.

  • Central AC systems include outdoor and indoor units connected by a series of ducts. The outside condenser unit(s) takes heat from inside and transfer it through a refrigerant and draws it outside, leaving the inside cool. The air handler(s), located in the home, circulate the cold air through your home. The air handler houses your air filter. The now cool air is then distributed throughout the home
    through ducts and vents.

Generators

  • An automatic standby generator will automatically restore power to your home in seconds – whether you’re home or away and s installed permanently.

  • Generators can be directly connected to your home’s electrical panel to deliver high-quality power whenever you need it.

  • Standby generators provide automatic backup power to your entire home or customized to energize the most essential items like AC, security systems and large appliances.
